Grab any wedge, and what do you see? The first thing you might notice is how much loft is on the clubface. The second might be the bulge of metal on the sole of the clubhead - called the bounce. Those two features are designed to get the ball airborne quickly and make chipping easy. Yet, when most amateurs hit chips, they insist on trying to scoop the ball into the air with their hands. The typical result is poor contact. I'll show you the correct setup and swing, and also let you in on a secret that the best chippers know.
